- In due time, the COVID-19 Contingency Plan will be made available. It will include Hygiene and Safety measures for Orienteering Events.

Regulation

The Lisbon City Race Euro Tour will abide by the rules in the regulations of the Portuguese Orienteering Federation (FPO), the specific regulation of Portugal City Race and the regulation of City Race Euro Tour.

Classes
The available classes can be seen in Registrations and the corresponding distances in Technical Information .

Secretariat

Following the recommendations of the DGS and regulated by the FPO, the secretariat will only provide minimal services.
Thus, we inform the following:
- Start Lists will be published online on the event site;
- There will be no provision for keeping keys or other belongings of participating athletes;
- The electronic punching device made available by the organization to registered competitors that do not possess one must be picked up by the athlete together with bib;
- All warnings and further information will be made available online on the event site.

Arena (Event Center) – Restricted to a Minimum
The arena of orienteering events, in a “normal” situation, is a space for socializing, sharing and enjoying a sports show.
Due to the pandemic situation that we are living, the arena will be reduced to a bare minimum, thus promoting the required, regulated social distancing.
This way, in this event there will NOT be:

- Spectator point(s);

- Areas for installing club tents;

- Bar service;

- Baby-sitting service.

Start
The athletes should only go to the start zone close to their respective starting times.

To be allowed to start, the athletes must have their bib numbers appropriately fixed on their orienteering outfit. They must also have the SportIdent card corresponding to their registration. On the event day, changing the SportIdent card can only be made at the secretariat and it will cost 2€.

Important: the athletes in competition classes will start their courses at the time they were assigned. All other classes will use the Start station to time their courses. This way, in all non-competitive classes, announced starting times are only used to disperse the athletes. However, athletes that do not show up at their assigned times will have to wait until there is an adequate time interval for them to start. So, we recommend that everyone respects his/her assigned starting time.

There will be NO quarantine and we appeal that the maximum Fair Play be observed. It will not be allowed to stroll around the competition area within one hour of the start of each stage and during it. Those competitors who have already finished their courses are not allowed to remain in the competition area and they must not show their maps to athletes that have not yet started their courses.

Prizes
There will be souvenirs for all children.

There will be prizes for the first 3 places in each competition or open class.

The prize giving ceremony will respect the contact prevention measures.

SportIdent
Each athlete or team carries, in addition to the map, an electronic control chip.

The athlete or team proves that he/she has passed in each control point by inserting the chip in the corresponding reading unit and waiting (about 1 second) until hearing a beep. The control points must be visited in the sequential order set by the organization and printed on the map. Upon arrival, the chip data are read to verify the correct execution of the course.
If there is a failure of the SportIdent system at a control point, the athlete must punch one of the reserve squares included on the map.
The chips assigned by the organization must be returned by the athletes after they finish their courses.

Showers and hard floor

Due to the current pandemic situation, showers and hard floor will NOT be available.
